In order to “shed light” on the subject, Actilum will organise a webinar on 10 February to explain how to implement sustainability tools in retail.
In recent times, there are many companies that are committed to being more environmentally friendly. It is clear that society has put the focus on sustainability and brands cannot ignore this reality. Less plastics, less carbon emissions, more energy saving: in short, many companies are trying to change (as far as possible) their production and organisational models to finally move towards a “greener” path.
In this context, the company Actilum, dedicated to the manufacture and distribution of LED panels and strips, is one of the allies in this transition journey. As Catalina Maldonado, Sustainability & Technology Officer of the company, explains, one of the problems of the retail sector is the lighting of its points of sale. “In general, they have a very high heat output, which has a huge impact on the environment,” she points out.
However, today there are already solutions to create luxurious and healthy indoor environments with artificial lights that closely resemble solar light, but without the harm of UV rays.
Meeting with experts
In order to provide clear information on the subject, Actilum will organise a webinar on 10 February to explain to brands how to implement sustainability tools in luxury retail by changing the lighting in retail outlets.
The virtual meeting, framed under the title ‘From decoration to sustainable and professional design’, will discuss new trends in lighting, possibilities related to human-centred lighting and sustainability applied to retail.
The Actilum event will not only feature experts from brands such as Carolina Herrera and Puig, but will also review the different types of lighting offered by the company. Some examples are the lights that have recently been implemented in some hospitals that allow a faster cure of patients or the lights of certain schools that favour the learning of the little ones.
